Pushback / Start Crew Dialogues
IMPORTANT: When talking to Ground Crew workers, such as the Start Crew or Engineers, the aircraft must be configured properly or the Ground Crew will not hear you. You have two options.
IMPORTANT: Whenever talking to the Ground Crew, the Captain's Audio Control Panel and Service Interphone Switch on the Aft Overhead Panel must be setup as shown below otherwise the Ground Crew will not hear you!
AFT OVERHEAD PANEL - ENSURE THE SERVICE INTERPHONE SWITCH IS SET TO 'ON'.
CAPTAIN'S AUDIO CONTROL PANEL - ENSURE 'SVC' IS PRESSED IN AND THE VOLUME IS UP
Note: YOU MUST USE THE CAPTAIN'S AUDIO CONTROL PANEL!!!!!!! NOT THE OVERHEAD OR FO'S AUDIO CONTROL PANEL.
Special Note:
In addition to contacting the Ground Crew via Voice, you can also make initial contact with the Ground Crew by pressing the Ground Call switch on the Overhead.
Note that the Audio Control Panel must still be setup properly if you make initial contact the Ground Crew via the Ground Call switch.
START CREW - PUSHBACK REQUIRED
- COCKPIT TO GROUND
- GROUND FROM COCKPIT
- WE ARE READY FOR PUSHBACK
- WE ARE READY FOR PUSHBACK AND ENGINE START
- WE ARE READY FOR AN EXTERNAL AIR ENGINE START
- YOU CAN DISCONNECT THE EXTERNAL AIR AND GPU NOW
- BRAKES RELEASED
- BRAKES SET
- YOU ARE CLEARED TO DISCONNECT AND GO TO HAND SIGNALS
- STOP PUSHBACK (ONLY USED IF THE PUSHBACK NEVER STOPS)
START CREW - PUSHBACK 'NOT' REQUIRED
- COCKPIT TO GROUND
- GROUND FROM COCKPIT
- WE ARE READY FOR ENGINE START
- WE ARE READY FOR AN EXTERNAL AIR ENGINE START
- YOU ARE CLEARED TO DISCONNECT AND GO TO HAND SIGNALS
