Normal Checklists
Checklists are used by flight crew members to ensure that no critical items are accidentally missed during each stage of the flight.
The most typical way checklists are handled are:
Do-and-Read: In this case, the crew members perform a series of sections, and then back-up their actions up with the checklist to ensure nothing was missed.
Read-and-Do: The crew member reads the specific checklist item and then manually performs the associated action.
Silent: The crew member performs an associated flow, and then reads the checklist silently to ensure no items are missed. The After Landing and After Takeoff Checklists are often read silently.
