General Requirements
To use FS2Crew for the PMDG 777, you need to meet the following requirements:
Minimums:
- Microsoft Flight Simulator X or Prepar 3D.
- If you wish to use Voice Control: A microphone. If you are only intending to use Button Control then no microphone is required.
Host Aircraft Requirements:
Required Aircraft: PMDG 777 with SP1 or later
For more information, please visit PMDG at: https://www.precisionmanuals.com
Speech Recognition Requirements:
- XP users must install SAPI if it's not already installed.
- Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 users, particularly those from outside the United States, must be able to set their Speech Recognition language setting to ENGLISH - US. Please consult the Speech Recognition Setup page for more information.
Recommended:
- USB headset (if using Voice Control).
- Windows 10 - 64 bits.
Notes:
- A generic, no-name brand USB headset is usually sufficient. An expensive, noise-cancelling headset is a plus, but it's hardly necessary. FS2Crew recommends USB headsets because they are much easier to configure and setup compared to the old style 'plug-in-a-jack' type headsets.
- Windows 7, 8 and 10 (64 bit versions) handle memory much better than XP or Vista. If you're still using XP or Vista, FS2Crew recommends upgrading to Windows 10. In addition, if you have a non-English version of Windows, FS2Crew recommends that you obtain Windows 10 as it easily allows you to install the required English - US voice pack.
Important:
- To avoid write permission issues we recommend that you run Flight Simulator with Administrator rights. To do that, go to the properties of the executable file (right click fsx.exe or p3d.exe and select 'Properties'), then go to the "Compatibility" tab and there will be a tick-box there to select "Run as Administrator".
