Main Panel Overview
Note: By default, the FS2Crew panels are in "LOCK" (LK) mode. This prevents the FS2Crew panels from automatically closing when you switch VC cameras. If you wish to unlock the FS2Crew panels, press the LK button.

* (Small Asterix Symbol Flashing):
- FS2Crew is in 'Descent Mode'. FS2Crew must be in 'Descent Mode' for certain approach and landing calls to play.
UP / DOWN ARROWS:
- Cycles Checklist/Action Mode forwards and backwards.
- Modes will normally automatically auto-cycle to the next selection for you.
- If the Config sub-screen is visible, the arrow buttons are used to select Config options.
VOICE:
- Toggles Voice Control OFF and ON.
- If in the OFF position, Button Control is automatically active. Note that it will take a few moments for the speech recognition to unload and FSX may appear to freeze.
- If you attempt to activate Voice Control and the Voice Button does not stay on, there is a problem with your Speech Recognition setup. Mostly likely you forget to set your speech recognizer to ENGLISH - US.
- IMPORTANT: You can only toggle this button ONCE per flight. This is to prevent people from repeatedly loading and unloading the speech recognition engine, which may cause FSX to crash. However, should you need to UNLOCK the Voice Button so you can toggle it again, you can do so by RIGHT CLICKING the Voice Button.
DSP:
- Toggles green bar on/off which displays what the speech engine hears through your microphone.
HM:
- Toggles “Hard Mute” on/off. If Hard Mute is on, the FO will not act on any input detected by the speech recognition engine.
- It's good practice to engage Hard Mute during any period (such as cruise) when you do not anticipate issuing any speech commands for an extended period of time.
HS:
- Routes most First Officer audio through your headset.
- Ensure the audio device associated with your headset is selected in the Headset display in the Configuration panel. First Officer audio that is not routed through the headset includes situations in which the FO would not be wearing his headset during the pre-flight events.

PA:

Press the CFG button to cycle through the available config options. Use the Up and Down arrow buttons on the Main Panel to cycle through the available options. Note: Right click the CFG button to immediately exit the CFG sub-menu.
LK:
- Click to 'LOCK' the Main and CFG Panels (to force them to remain open even when FS automatically attempts to close them when you change views). Note that when the panels are “Locked”, an ‘=’ symbol will appear in the lower left hand section of the main display area.
