Main Panel Overview

l.  You cannot toggle on/off the FS2Crew lighting via the Main Panel.

• Displays a "help tip" in the Green Bar.

• Active Checklist / Action Mode.

MUTE:

• Soft Mute operating.

MUTE+ (Flashing):

• Hard Mute operating.

• Appears on the Main Display when the Pre-Flight event counter is running.  Left click directly on the number itself to fast forward the time down to engine start.  
• Note: You cannot fast forward the time down while the FO is performing his cockpit setup flows.  When the FO is performing his cockpit setup flows, 'T+' will be replaced by 'WAIT'.
• 'Right Clicking' directly on the number will pause the countdown timer, and 'T+' will be replaced by a 'P'.

• Cycles Checklist/Action Mode forwards and backwards. 
• Modes will normally automatically  auto-cycle to the next selection for you.
• Button Control only:  'Right Clicking' will skip the mode to the next major checklist/command.

• Toggles voice recognition 'on' and 'off'.  In the 'off' state, FS2Crew functions as Button Control.
• If using Voice Control, if the autopilot values “run-away” after asking the First Officer 'FO' to set the autopilot, you can toggle the voice engine OFF and ON to break this cycle.  Also note that if the autopilot 'runs-away' you can also use the speech command 'CANCEL LAST COMMAND' to stop the run-away.
• If the Voice Button does not stay on, and you are try to engage Voice Control, there is a problem with your Speech Recognition setup.  In most cases it's because you forget to set your Speech Recognizer to English - US.

• Toggles green bar on/off which displays what the speech engine hears through your microphone.

• Toggles “Hard Mute” on/off.  If Hard Mute is on, the FO will not act on any input detected by the speech recognition engine.  
• It's good practice to engage Hard Mute during any period (such as cruise) when you do not anticipate issuing any speech commands for an extended period of time.

• Routes most First Officer audio through your headset. 
• Ensure the audio device associated with your headset is selected in the Headset display in the Configuration panel.  First Officer audio that is not routed through the headset includes situations in which the FO would not be wearing his headset during the pre-flight events.     

• Press to open the Briefing Panel.

• Press to Open the FS Video Marshaller Panel. 
• IF USING FSX, YOU MUST BE IN WINDOWED MODE OR YOU MAY GET A CRASH IF YOU ATTEMPT TO RUN THE VIDEO!!! Press ALT - ENTER to cycle video modes.

• Unlike previous versions of FS2Crew, there is no longer a separate Config Panel.  Instead, the Config options have been merged into the Main Window on the FS2Crew Main Panel.  Press the CFG button to cycle through the available config options.  Use the Up and Down arrow buttons on the Main Panel to cycle through the available options.
• TIP: RIGHT CLICK the CFG button to close the CFG sub-menu screen without having to scroll through all the options.

• Click to 'LOCK' the Main and CFG Panels (to force them to remain open even when FS automatically attempts to close them when you change views).  

• Press to run the Audio Self Test.  You should hear a female voice say: AUDIO TEST IN PROGRESS... LEFT SPEAKER TEST... RIGHT SPEAKER TEST... AUDIO TEST COMPLETE
• When the test is running, this message will appear on the Main Panel:

• Note: If you run the Audio Test, and you see the message CHECK VOL, it means that the volume controls on the Captain's Audio Control panel are set to off.  Ensure the SERV/INT knob on the Captain's Audio Control panel is not set to Off.  Also ensure the same knob is not set to MUTE.  Click in the middle of the SERV/INT knob to mute/unmute the volume.
